The Island Arts Centre, in Lisburn, was the venue this month, for a presentation by Les Saunders and Tom Bailey to sixty members from Lagan, Lough Erne and Newry & Portadown IWAI.
There was an enthusiastic response to the CSIG’s work and the new style charts from Brian Willson. As stated “those who saw the presentation were impressed by progress to date and equally so, by the sheer size of the task still remaining”.
We are delighted to report that the Lough Erne Branch “wish to be associated with this work and to help out wherever possible, particularly in the waters of the Erne system.” They are making a contribution to cover the cost of one complete set of equipment and some members will be assisting in the work of surveying and mapping.
The CSIG is very grateful to Lough Erne members for their contribution of money, time and effort.
